vegan cake
I thought maybe it will be easier if I just bought the cake mix instead of doing it from scratch. If you have any recipes for a Vegan Pumpkin cake you are more than welcome to leave it as an answer. Thank you!
Well first, make sure the cake mix is vegan, since most aren’t. Then, with most cake mixes you only need to add eggs, oil, and sometimes milk or water. I always get the best results using tofu or applesauce as egg replacer for cakes. That would be 1/4 cup firm silken tofu mixed well in a blender until smooth (I blend the whole package of tofu & measure out 1/4 cup after. It’s easier, and you can use the rest to make pudding or something after if you don’t plan on doing a lot of baking at once), or 1/4 cup plain applesauce. Since it’s pumpkin cake, you could use cinnamon applesauce b/c I’m sure the cake already has similar spices anyway. If it calls for milk, you can use soymilk or any nut/grain milk (almond, oat, hemp, etc.) but just use slightly less…maybe about two tablespoons less. I wouldn’t recommend rice milk. It’s much thinner than others & the taste can be really noticeable sometimes.

i’ve baked a vegan cake before using a reciepe from a vegan website this time i just want to see if i can use a regular cook book but substitute ingredients if so are the amounts of ingredients the same
Many cookies that call for butter really do mean butter, unfortunately; when I use vegan margarine substitutes it’s not nearly as crumbly, and it rarely comes out like the picture, or like anything worth snacking on at all. You should stick to tried-and-true vegan recipes, but if you like experimenting, give it a try. I would suggest exact same amounts of margarine as butter; I would suggest half a cup of unsweetened applesauce per egg; there are vegan versions of chocolate chips that you can buy at health food stores, or just use cocoa powder; and use vegan cane sugar instead of white, processed sugar.
