My girlfriend is Vegan…I love to make her desserts. Can anyone tell me a delicious dessert recipe? I want to blow her out of this world! Help me!
Vanilla Custard Topped with Berries (Gluten Free)
1 block silken tofu
1 whole vanilla bean
1 cup brown rice syrup
½ cup maple syrup
2 cups of your favorite organic berries
3 tbsp olive oil
In a mixing bowl mix tofu with a mixer until smooth. Pour mixture into a sauce pan and heat, add ¾ cup brown rice syrup, ¼ cup maple syrup and stir until syrups are fully incorporated. Stir in vanilla and continue to cook for about 2 more minutes. Refrigerate for 2-4 hours before serving. When ready to serve, heat olive oil and remaining ¼ cup brown rice syrup and ¼ cup maple syrup in a saucepan. Add berries and cook to until sauce begins to become syrupy. Remove custard from refrigerator and top with berries.
Another great recipe to try is
Bananas and “Cream” (Gluten Free)
2 tbsp olive oil
¼ cup chopped cashews
3 tbsp maple syrup
3 bananas
1 teaspoon ginger
1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1 cup vegan cream cheese (Tofutti brand; can get at Albertsons or Whole Foods Market)
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1/4 cup maple syrup
Put olive oil and chopped olives in a pan and sauté. Add maple syrup until mixture begins to caramelize. Add sliced bananas and sprinkle with ginger and cinnamon. Sauté mixture for about 4-5 minutes and plate. In a small bowl mix cream cheese, 1 teaspoon vanilla extract and maple syrup together, pour mixture over top of bananas and serve.

for my A2 level coursework i have to develop a product it involves cooking 10 products fitting a brief and chosing and developing 1 12 times
i was thinking vegan desserts or any other kind of vegan product.
what i would like to know do you think their is a place in the market for a range of ready prepared vegan desserts?
also any suggestions of what i could make, i do need to show skills?
or same for any other range of vegan products the market may be currently lacking
thank you
xxx
Yes, yes, yes. There’s a pretty big niche market for vegan desserts, just waiting to be found… Lots of people are lactose intolerant also so it’s actually even a bigger market than just for vegans. Tofutti ice cream and soy ice creams are good but there should be more variety! Maybe a vegan tiramisu or other non-dairy desserts.
There was a vendor in World Fest selling coconut ice cream that’s vegan and those were gone really fast, so that’s an idea. Maybe mix in a fruit or two!
Best of luck to you!

vegan desserts
My main problem is the sugar and dairy filled desserts! I recently decided to become vegan but im finding this hard to give up. in my efforts i bought a dairy free icecream, the brand ’so delicious’ but i found it SO GROSS! I really did not like it. im used to regular icecream taste. and i realized that all the desserts i like contain dairy. cheesecake, flan, cake, icecream, chocolate etc.
so what vegan options are there? i dont want recipes, im not much of a cook, just something i can buy at the grocery store.
There are many different kinds of vegan ice cream (soy, coconut milk, etc) so try different brands before deciding that they are all gross. Also your taste buts will change, so try them again in a month or two. Also try sorbets, which are usually dairy free.
Chocolate is vegan – the cocoa itself. You can find dark chocolate bars that are vegan. Cocoa powder (the kind for baking, now premade hot cocoa mixes) is vegan. Cakes are easy to make vegan, but you might want to learn to do a little basic cooking since it’s hard to buy vegan cakes already made.
